Now and then I feel so lost
In this world not meant for me
A square peg wedged in this round earth
Held back by gravity
But even when I’m all alone
And feel misunderstood
You get me
You’ve got me
You’re good.
When life’s so heavy on my heart
And the answers don’t compute
All upside down and backwards
When lies resemble truth
These things I will remember
So I see things as I should
You get it
You’ve got it
You’re good.
This world was not created to be my destiny
Just a stop along the road to all eternity
But while I still remain here I’ll keep my eyes on You
Creator of the universe, yet King of heaven, too
Who made the world from nothing and calmed a raging sea
You still hold the world I live in and still the storm in me
You get it
You’ve got it
You’re good…
You get me
You’ve got me
You’re good…
Isaiah 43:2 –
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
