I just got back from my little friend Nicholas’ birthday party. Twenty five kids were there dressed up in Halloween costumes – princesses, pirates, ninjas, cowboys, witches, GI Joe’s, and every other outfit and disguise you can imagine. (My personal favorite was a 2-month-old “cow”- a baby girl that let me get my baby fix for an hour and a half as I swayed her in my arms. Yum!)
I brought a gift for Nicholas, just like everyone else. But my gift was nothing in comparison to the gift that he and his little sister gave me a couple of days ago when they heard that we had lost our puppy….
Talk about warming your heart…
So, I got my baby/kid fix today. But the day isn’t over yet. In an hour we will be at our neighbors’ house for a Halloween party. More kids, and the twin babies will be there, giving me another chance to rock and baby talk. A little bit of heaven in my arms….
Thank you Nicholas and Emily for your sweet cards. They meant an awful lot. Love you guys!
xoxoxo
Jana, God has been so faithful and kind to bring you comfort and love through children’s tender hearts. I hope you have been able to find peace in their authentic empathy.
I have, thank you, Kathy. The adorable picture and the simplicity and beauty of a child’s faith and perspective really warmed my heart. So, so precious…
