This past weekend, I had the pleasure and privilege of singing next to my friend and worship team partner, Wanda.  I always love singing with Wanda.  Her sweet spirit, lovely voice and tender heart for Jesus are wonderful to pair up with.  Our voices blend well together and she makes harmony more fun than ever.

But this weekend was it was especially sweet to stand next to her.  Just this past week, she was diagnosed with secondary liver cancer.  Having already been a breast cancer survivor, she knows the fight that is ahead of her.  But that did not diminish her smile as she sang her heart out.  It did not dim her  radiant face as she sang of the God that she loves with all her heart.  And it only made her voice stronger and more beautiful than ever.  It was a precious thing to witness and be a part of.

Thank you, Wanda, for your heart.  You inspired and encouraged many this past weekend (including me!) with your warrior attitude, that has within it the soft trust in your Jesus.  I will not stop praying and I will walk hand in hand with you as you begin this new journey….

Ephesians 3:16-21 – I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
