There is something so comforting about oatmeal raisin cookies.  But not if they’re hard and dry!  These are anything but that.  And seriously, there is no better dough than this dough (I know, I know, salmonella, blah, blah, blah….:-) )

Oatmeal Raisin Yummies

2 sticks butter, softened
2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cup raisins (simmered in a little water, enough to almost cover raisins.  Use 2 Tbsp. of “juice made from the raisin water in the dough)

You may need to add a little more flour if the dough feels too “wet”…..But be careful!  We want to keep them moist and chewy!  Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.  These babies will be making their way to the church office in a few minutes….
