“I wear my pink pajamas in the summer when it’s hot….” That’s the opening line of a little song I used to sing when I was a kid (Susan, I think you and Diana sang it with me!) that came to mind this morning because I’m wearing my new pajamas. I love them so much that I could be tempted to wear them all day every day. They are bright pink with polka dots and big, bold daisies – big, boxy pajamas in the softest cotton I think I have ever worn. The kind where you crawl into bed at night and just sigh a contented sigh with a big smile on your face as you drift off to sleep because you are so ridiculously comfortable. Yep. Those are my pink pajamas that I wear “in the summer when it’s hot”.
And I know that you’re dying to know the rest of the song….but I must warn you, it’s a little scandalous….
“I wear my pink pajamas in the summer when it’s hot. I wear my flannel nightie in the winter when it’s not. And sometimes in the springtime and sometimes in the fall, I jump right into bed with nothing on at all!”
I told you….:-)
and the chorus goes:
“Nosy, Nosy, what’s it to ya?
Nosy, Nosy, what’s it to ya?
Nosy, Nosy, what’s it to ya?
With nothing on at all.”
Ah, childhood!
I know! I totally just remembered that this morning, too! But it sounds so mean!
and no….there will be no picture of me in my pj’s 🙂
