Collaboration.  It’s a good word.  And I am understanding the beauty of that word in a whole new way lately…

A couple of weeks ago, I got a “random” e-mail from a guy asking me if I was the “poet” on the posts of my blog.  He had googled the word “surrender” and my blog had come up.   He introduced himself as a Christian singer/song writer and was wondering if he could put the words of some of my songs/poems to music.  I was thrilled!  Whatever God can do with the words He’s given!   Little did I know that friends of mine had been praying for God to bring some such artist into my life….

The past two weeks we have been combining our efforts and collaborating on several songs that before we had been working on individually.  And he is giving my words something to dance to – a melody line. It is amazing to watch what happens when  minds come together to create and compose something new.  Ideas fly and imaginations feed off each other as words and phrases emerge and change. It has been an incredible experience.  Thanks so much, Bo!   Makes me wonder if it’s a tiny bit like what happened at creation when God the Father, Son and Spirit were creating the world and mankind.  Three personalities working together to make something glorious….they must have had so much fun!

The process of collaboration.  I am diggin’ it!  And today I was reading about collaboration with God in a great little devotional that my precious sis-in-law (love you, Karin!) gave me called “Jesus Calling”.   (Jesus talking) ” …you invite me into every aspect of your life.  Through COLLABORATING with Me in all things, you allow My life to merge with yours.”  Collaborating with Jesus.  What a thought.  Our source of endless creativity and wisdom and love wants to share ideas and thoughts and life itself with us!  Every day and every moment and every activity a joint venture.  How amazing.  How incredible.  And completely at our disposal every single day.  Now THAT is collaboration to the highest degree!  And a key component in our intimacy with our God….

John 15:5 – “I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit…”

Let's stay connected!

I promise to send some encouragement your way, and a bit of hope for the soul...
