Had a great meeting today with my new “client”. She feels like she moved into this house but has not been able to make it feel like her own. So we figured out what she’s looking for in a new look in her family room, kitchen and eating nook. And so began the hunt for treasures to make her house her home.
At my last stop of the day, I was approached by a woman asking me if I liked a table/desk she was looking at. She wanted to use it as a computer desk. We talked about it’s possibilities for several minutes and then she mentioned in passing that she wanted to use it as her “writing” desk. My ears perked up. I asked her what she writes. And get this – she told me that she is an editor at a “micro pub” publishing company! Then she added that they were a Christian publishing company! My jaw dropped. Literally. Just two days ago I had prayed about my writing and told Jesus that he was going to have to make it really make it obvious if I was supposed to publish. He would have to put the opportunity right in front of me. Be careful what you ask for, right? Isn’t that crazy?! We ended up talking for the next hour, sharing what God has been doing in our lives, both the difficult and the wonderful.
So we’ll see what happens from here. She has my card and my blog address and we are planning on getting together over lunch to discuss the next step. Wow! I don’t want to run ahead, but I’m excited to see what God might do through this. 🙂
Had another wonderful night out with our friends Brian and Krista. We had a blast laughing and talking and just growing in our love and appreciation for this wonderful couple. What started as a realtor/client relationship has blossomed into a great friendship that will last a lifetime. And my smiling heart is very thankful.
Hope that you had a wonderful Friday, too!!!!
Hugs and more hugs….
