Barefoot I stand on this holy ground
Hearing Your voice though it makes not a sound.
Revealing Your will in this bush unconsumed
It burns with a fire, the passion in You
You show me great things beyond my small grasp
And though I’m not worthy, still, Lord, You ask
I can’t be the one, I don’t have the skill
I’m broken, imperfect, but You beckon me still
“I’ll be your mouthpiece and speak through you.
Stay close to Me and watch what I’ll do.
I’ll do new things with every new day.
I want you to join me. What do you say?”
These words are my comfort
Your presence my muse
It’s not about me
It’s all about You.
So here I stand barefoot on this holy ground
Praying my heart to You will be bound
So when others see a flame filled tree
They’ll see Your face instead of me.
