My friend Teresa and I had a girls’ day out yesterday. And it was incredible! We went down to Colorado Springs (“The Springs”) to an Art/Craft festival. Wow! Beautiful! The scenery there is amazing. We went through the Garden of the Gods which is gorgeous red rock formations set in beautiful pines and surrounding mountains. Absolutely gorgeous! As we walked along I would stop and just take in all the lovely sights and smells and would have been more than content if that had been the extent of our day.
But no. We were also on a hunt. To find rustic one-of-a-kind treasures. Oh, and we did! Teresa is so much fun to do this with because we have such similar taste in primitive decor. We found ourselves drawn to the very same things at the same time, finishing each other’s sentences and finding things that we knew would be perfect in each other’s homes. It was great fun! An effortless day of enjoyment surrounded by beauty, laughter and great conversation. I am so very thankful for my new friend!
She then took me to neighboring towns with adorable downtowns filled with unique shops and restaurants and just loaded with charm and character. Ohs and ahs kept falling out of my mouth with all that my eyes were taking in. Way too much fun!
Colorado just continues to sweep me off my feet daily. A true oasis for my soul… 🙂
