I have been pondering today, but at the moment don’t have the time to write it all down. But I have a crazy thing to share. The house I grew up in is on the market with John L Scott. It’s sweet, but sad to look at as it has been neglected and badly needs some TLC. Check it out! The last couple pictures were my old bedroom!!!! Tons of memories have come flooding back… wow!!!!
It’s at JohnLScott.com and our address was 1831 South Bay Rd. NE, Olympia, WA 98506….
Orange and maroon woodwork? Ummm….okay. Cool house–other than that minor feature. It needs a Jana Fix!! 🙂 The house I grew up in was built in 1942 as well. Yours reminds me of mine.
Oh, I would LOVE to be able to go and work on that house and love it back to pretty! How funny, we share the same birthday and grew up in the same house! Hmmmmm….sounds like we might be twins! (I just came out first :-))
What a trip! It’s amusing and nostalgic and rather sad all at the same time. And there were no pictures of the basement where we used to play school, using those old-fashioned desks you used to have. Still has the old paneling, but I couldn’t tell if it still has the dresser drawers built right into the wall. Ah, memories!
I know isn’t that crazy! That’s exactly what I thought when I looked at the pictures – where the heck is the basement and why isn’t it considered in the square footage? My dad had finished it all off and used it first as an apartment for my grandparents and then later part of it for my dad’s office, and of course, our place to play school! Insane how many memories come flooding back…
