It has been a good week with God continuing to answer prayer right in front of our eyes. Abby and I spent last week helping make decorations for our new church’s VBS. She got to talk with the youth pastor and began helping with the junior high ministry last week. We did all of this while Blake was away at camp. With him back this week, we went and registered him at school today. We were able to meet and talk with the principal, who seems to be a very sharp and good guy. And then he joined us in decorating the church for the “jungle” that will happen at VBS starting next Monday. He got to meet the youth pastor, Josh, and they are setting up a breakfast date for next week. He will be joining Abby tomorrow night to help with the junior high. God is very clearly answering our prayers for Blake and Abby to be able to make quick connections and to be able to use the abilities He has given them in a place which will help them grown as well.
Tomorrow Abby has a Starbucks interview at 1:00. If you think of her, pray that she might get this job. It looks like it could be full time, and possibly evenings which would be great when she begins her classes.
Thursday, I have a lunch date with my new friend Monica (the sweet gal who gave me the scoop on pretzel M&Ms that I met at Home Depot!) Really looking forward to getting to know her better.
Friday night we are going to have our realtor and his wife over for dinner. Actually, we are going out for dinner and then coming back here for dessert. That sounds more like it, right? Yes, I would still rather make dessert than dinner of any kind 🙂
God, thank you for caring for your children and for providing what they need in ways they could not even have asked for. You are too, too good. And I love, love, love you!!!!
