Today I got to spend the day with my two sweet aunts, Jan and Judy.  They are on vacation here and are taking in some of the tourist attractions.  So this afternoon we went to a spring training game and watched our beloved Mariners play the Angels.  We won six to three!  It was a great time of catching up and laughing and just having good old fashioned girl time.  Of course, they had to bring up memories of my youth and some of the ridiculous things I used to say.  Like, at age three, “when I go outside, all the boys ‘hi’ me!”  I knew about that one.  But apparently I also referred to the Ugly Duckling as the Icky Chicky.  Looks like my confusion began at a very early age…

These women had huge impact on my life in my growing up years.  I remember drinking coffee with them at age six, sitting at a table with all my aunts and mom and grandma, feeling all grown up.  They always had a way of making you feel so special and unique and loved.  I was reminded again today what a blessing they were and are in my life.  And their example as strong, funny, loving, real Christian women is phenomenal. Thank you, Jesus, for the women you have put in my life.

Thanks, girls, for letting me hang out with you today.  It was wonderful!  Wish we all lived closer so we could do it more often.  Huge hugs!

Let's stay connected!

I promise to send some encouragement your way, and a bit of hope for the soul...

xo, jana
