Last night we went to Brendan’s (Britt’s boyfriend) performance at the National Comedy Theater in Mesa.  It was a night of improv in a small, sold-out theater that had incredible character and a very interactive and responsive crowd.  Hilarious and so much fun.  Abby became part of one of the acts and I don’t know what was more fun to see, Abby’s response to being chosen and played, or Brittany’s smile to see her sister loving being involved.  Brendan actually played the part of Abby in the three part skit.  Too funny!

Blake and his friend Jack were there also – both of whom love comedy and improvisation.  My smyle was especially big, seeing and hearing laughter all around me.  I think it meant a lot to Brendan and Britt to have us all there cheering.

Today, Britt and I went to a bridal shower for Brendan’s sister who is marrying our good friends’ son.  It is absolutely crazy how these circles have intertwined!  I love it.  I sat with a table of ladies who were all three sisters.  They were in their sixties and seventies and they made me smyle with their stories and humor and insight into life.  Having three girls, I always enjoy seeing the interaction of sisters further down the road of life and watching as they reminisce and joke together.  It was precious to watch and a privilege to be a part of.  When I sat down we were strangers.  When I left we were friends.  It was a really great afternoon…yummy!

I came home, took off my layers and went out on our huge hammock in the backyard and laid in the sun.  Seventy six degrees on Valentines Day.  Not bad!  Tonight, Abby and Paul will be with us for a bbq dinner and Abby and I get to choose a sappy love story movie to watch.  Sorry, guys.  No sports tonight!

A good weekend before another busy week.  House goes on the market on Friday.

I JUST KNOW it’s gonna be a good, though crazy week with reminders of laughter and fun from this weekend. Thank you, Jesus, for the very special gift of smyling…

Let's stay connected!

I promise to send some encouragement your way, and a bit of hope for the soul...
