As I ran early this morning, before the sun rose, before the world came alive, it was cold. Really cold. Okay, really cold for Arizona. The chilly air made my ears and head ache to the point of feeling like they would explode.
And the only thing that kept me going, was your sweet, warm whisper in my ear, Jesus, saying,” I’m right here. You can do this. I’m running with you.” The warmth of that whisper let me know that even in the pain I was feeling I would be okay. I would make it. The pain would eventually subside and I would be glad that I had done what I needed to do and run with You.
Funny, how often You have used the analogy of running in my life to teach me great truths. Guess I better keep running for the rest of my life. Please keep whispering in my ear…
Jana,
I’m glad to here you’re up and running.
Please keep it up for all our benefit.
Jeff
