Most of the time, doing hard things results in a good outcome.
Here’s what happened when I asked my dad to help me get started on organizing our garage:
We had an absolute blast going and getting what we needed, putting it together and then admiring our work when we were done. We both love these kinds of projects and it showed in the countless screws, nuts and washers that took up most of our day! Thank you, dad!!!
I’m not one to ask for a lot of help. But this was one of those times that I would have robbed both dad and myself of a shared project and some sweet memories if I’d chosen to do it myself at another time.
Mom and I are always doing crafty things when we get together, exercising our creativity. So it was a sweet opportunity to be able to share my love for building things with the man who passed that passion on to me.
Can’t wait to do it again!
