I’m really really terrible at keeping surprises.
Like, if I was going to throw you a surprise birthday party, I would probably end up telling you two weeks prior. (Actually, no I wouldn’t, because I’m equally really really awful at remembering birthdays. š )
Okay, bad example.
But I have a hard time when it comes to saving surprises.
My plan in reworking our converted garage was to take a month and show you the step by step progress of how it was coming together.
I was going to take it sloooooooowwwwww.
Trouble is, I didn’t.
I poured all of that time and energy into a week instead of a month. Ā Time flew, because that’s what it does when you’re having fun, and progress kept happening and I just couldn’t stop.
As a result, for all intents and purposes, the room is complete, and I just couldn’t wait to show you!
So….SURPRISE!!!!
Before: My sad, dark, crowded inventory storage cave. Completely unlivable.
And After… A light, bright, warm and inviting “living” room!
But the most exciting part of this room is this:
If you follow Jon Acuff’sĀ 30 Days Of HustleĀ (which I STRONGLY recommend!), you’ll understand my “The Why” wall. Ā The names that are and will be signed on this wall are representative of what this room will be about – helping women find their soul’s home and their home’s soul. Ā Women are my “Why”.
My prayer is that this signature wall will signify what all of these walls are now set apart to do and that it will serve as a daily reminder of my purpose and calling.
This little “she shed”, as my friend Laurie calls it, has been transformed and restored in order to be a place where this can happen for women’s hearts and will reflect in their homes.
So, even though I jumped the gun with my impatient excitement, I will now focus on the steps along the way that took something ugly and dark and helped it become something lovely and light.
Practically, for your home, and more importantly, for your precious soul.
And now we have just the place to do that together.
Welcome To The Jarvis House. š

You are such a talented woman and you have truly found your calling with God’s help. We miss you guys….
We miss you, too, Sherry and reminisce about our times on the cup-de-sac a lot. Good good times. š xoxoxo
Wow! That is a truly amazing transformation but not “surprising” knowing you!
Wonderful!
Denise, how are you guys? We have certainly felt the hole you’ve left here in Pleasanton. Still want to get to your place on the lake. Sounds dreamy… <3
