Well, after 14 hours in the air, we arrived safely in Tai Pei! We are sipping on delicious caramel macchiatos, thankful that Starbucks crosses all time zones and cultural boundaries!
Mark and I didn’t end up getting to sit together which was kind of a bummer as we were definitely some of the very few english speaking people on the flight. But we both slept pretty well (as well as you can sleep in an upright sitting position) and I didn’t get jumpy legs at all – a major miracle for me when sitting any longer than an hour. Lots of reading, movies and t.v. helped the awake hours to go by fairly quickly, since chatting wasn’t really an option 🙂 Now we are waiting for our next flight in Phnom Penh where we will then grab a two hour car ride to our hotel to see Janay!
Most of my pictures will probably be on Facebook as opposed to here on the blog, as I am using Mark’s work computer during this trip.
Thanks for your prayers on this sweet journey and I will do my best to capture with words and pictures and stories what God is doing in this part of the world.
And I just a few short hours, I get to see my girl!!!!
Hugs to all of you and thanks again for your encouragement and support….

have a great trip. Friends of ours from 25 years ago adopted a little girl from Phnom Penh. Why I remember that??? Want to catch up with you when you get back. Are you still doing coffee downtown? Stacey and I both have summer off and would love to come keep you company one day. Doug and I get back from our trip on the second of July.
prayers for safety there and on your trip home.

Thanks so much, Karen! Yes, the three of us should definitely get together for coffee when you get back from your trip! I’m sure both you and Stacey are thankful for a much needed summer break! Hugs!
