(For all of us who have felt less than worthy…Your Gardener and Dance Partner awaits…:-) )
I’d always looked at the girl in the glass
As broken and bruised by the things of the past
A flower missing petals with a bent, broken stem
No lovely vase to fit in….
But You made feel like the girl at the ball
Once just a wallflower, then plucked from the wall
You asked me to dance then taught me to fly
And I’ll never know just why…
You made me feel
Beautiful.
I was the girl with two damaged left feet
Longing to dance but missing the beat
The music was playing but it wasn’t my song
And I always got every step wrong….
But You made feel like the girl at the ball
Once just a wallflower, then plucked from the wall
You asked me to dance then taught me to fly
And I’ll never know just why…
You made me feel
Beautiful.
You pulled up my roots from the ground that was hardened
I asked for a vase and You gave me a garden
I longed for a dance floor, You gave me the sky
And I’ll never know just why
You made me feel
Beautiful.
Two left feet remain, there’s a bend in my stem
I’ll still miss some steps and wilt once again
But You see me differently in this new looking glass
And You’ve traded my future for my past…
You made feel like the girl at the ball
Once just a wallflower, then plucked from the wall
You asked me to dance then taught me to fly
And I’ll never know just why…
You make me feel
Beautiful.
Philippians 1:6 – And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
