Laundry – That necessary evil that just won’t quit.  So why not make the laundry room a little more appealing and pretty?  When my friend Blake A was here yesterday to do other wood projects, I had him put up a simple piece of barn wood as a shelf which took things off the washer and dryer.  I then used new containers for the same old things – A ceramic beverage dispenser that I found at the Goodwill to keep liquid detergent in; old wire baskets for storage;  glass jar for fabric softener sheets and unstoppables; a tin bucket to store clothes pins in; an antique box to keep stray socks in.  Then I put a board with hooks on it on the wall to hang a small ironing board.  Transformed, simplified, more beautiful!  Strangely, I still don’t really feel like doing laundry…Oh well.  It was worth a try…
