I am my me-est
When I am with You
My song is its loudest
My colors, most true.
My insides fall out
And my upsides fall down
When You make silly smiles
From my flipped over frowns.
My good parts are better
When I give them to You
You take all my uglies
And make something new.
Each breath is deeper
When I breathe You in
You’re the skip in my step
And the sun on my skin.
I am my me-est
When I know You’re there
‘Cuz You know and You love me
From my toes to my hair.
You’ve heard all my secrets
Endured all my puns
Laughed at my randomness
Calling it “fun”.
Maybe I’m my me-est
When I’m with you
Like a piece of art shows
What a Great Artist drew.
You are the Potter
I am the clay
Your fingerprints on me
As You smooth lumps away.
Your brush adds the color
Your pen writes the words
Your fingers on keys
Compose songs still unheard.
May the me-est of me
Show the You-est of You
May I be the “what”
And You be the “Who”.

2 Corinthians 3:18 – And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
