It is 73 degrees today in Parker, Colorado. It is sunny and absolutely gorgeous. Oh, I know that it’s just a tease. I realize that tomorrow it’s supposed to snow again and remind us that it is actually still winter. But for just a little while, I will pretend that it’s spring and that I can plant flowers and fertilize the yard. I can fantasize about bbqs on the back patio and endless days of short sleeves and flip flops. Of the smell of grass and blooming trees and fragrant foliage.
For this moment, I will sit on my porch swing watching my dogs wrestle and play in the sunshine and feel the fresh air on my cheeks.
And tomorrow when the cold returns with it’s blowing winds and falling snow, I will remember today and smile and know that if I wait, there will be more days just like this one…
Sounds a lot like life…
