You use the weak to show Your power.
Your glory shines inside mundane.
Light pours from my darkest hour.
How could You?

I don’t understand Your ways.
Your joy comes through my tears.
Grace magnifies through failure.
Hope within my greatest fears.
How could You?
Why would You?
Yet you made a world from nothing,
Formed humanity from sand.
Came as a babe to save us.
Being God, You came as man.
How could You?
Why would You?
You once spoke through a donkey,
Turned water into wine.
Took things so ordinary
And changed them to divine.
How could You?
Why would You?
So here inside my frailty,
Within this broken frame
I ask You to repeat the past
And in me do the same.
How could You?
Why would You?
Make mountains from these mole hills.
A masterpiece from grains of sand.
Beauty from my ashes.
Lord Jesus, use Your hands
To heal and mold and change me,
Transforming all I’m not.
Take this lukewarm cup of water –
Turn it to a boiling pot.
How could You?
Why would You?
Because You are the amazing God
Who makes the impossible come true.
Turn these shards of glass I offer
To a mirror that reflects You…
