(Yes, I think I have shingles again, for the second time in the past few months. Ugh. I had to look up the words to the second verse of Jingle Bells. Do you know it? If not, look it up. I tried to stay true to it 😉 )
Shingle Bells, Shingle Bells
Shingles go away
Once of you is quite enough
Twice is just a pain
Shingle Bells, Shingle Bells
Shingles go away
If I ask will you please leave
Before it’s Christmas Day….
v. 1
Dashing through the snow
In my Jeep just yesterday
To all the stores I’d go
When suddenly my leg
Hurt from my toe ring
Up to my hip, the right
Oh what fun it is to sing
About my shingles plight
Oh…
Shingle Bells, Shingle Bells
Shingles go away
Once of you is quite enough
Twice is just a pain
Shingle Bells, Shingle Bells
Shingles go away
If I ask will you please leave
Before it’s Christmas Day…
v. 2
A day or two ago
I thought I’d take a ride
But soon my fanny white (:-))
Was hurting on the side
The pain was quite intense
Misfortune seemed my lot
As I pulled up to U.S. Bank
The ache made me upsot
Oh….
Shingle Bells, Shingle Bells
Shingles go away
Once of you is quite enough
Twice is just a pain
Shingle Bells, Shingle Bells
Shingles go away
If I ask will you please leave
Before it’s Christmas Day…
Noooooooooooooo…….

We are almost ready. Wish we could be with you too. Give our love to everyone!
Oh No!!! My mom had this when I had my 6th birthday party on December 5th when I was in kindergarten. My whole class was invited to Ferrel’s (sp?) Ice Cream Parlor on Colfax near Westland Mall. The last little girl to arrive was walked in by her mother who stopped to ask “Ed, where is Mary Ann?” He told her she was home with the shingles and she offered to stay. To this day my dad considers her the angel that stayed to brave 25 kindergartener’s with him! Hope you recover quickly and efficiently! What a bugger!
