I’m trying a new pecan pie recipe for Thanksgiving!  It comes straight from the South!  My friend Bo’s mom’s recipe from Atlanta, Georgia…Can’t wait to try it!  Thanks for the recipe, Bo!

Southern Pecan Pie

36 Kraft caramels

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp. vanilla

3 eggs

1 cup of pecan halves

9″ pie shell

Melt caramel with water and butter in a covered double boiler or sauce pan until smooth.  Combine sugar, salt, vanilla gradually adding caramel sauce.  Mix well.  Stir in pecans and pour into pie shell.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Oh, it’s gonna be so good!!!
