I love maple. It just seems warm and cozy and reminiscent of childhood somehow. So I made these last night for a Halloween party we went to. They are chewy, soft and delicious! And something a little different than your average cookie!
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
- 1 egg
- Mix and roll into balls. Then roll in a mixture of:
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Bake at 350 degrees for 9-10 minutes. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY!!!!
I thought we decided that these aren’t called Maple Snickerdoodles, but instead Mapleschnoodles. 🙂
I know, right? hehe!!!! Maybe I should go back and change that!
