"headboard" made from canvases covered with burlap, twine and a belt...

A couple more pics of taking old stuff and making something new out of it.  In the above picture, I took the painted canvases that I had over our bed and recovered them with burlap and then accessorized with thick twine and an old belt.  Easy.  Cheap.  Fun!

An old wooden box, some spools of twine and a little leftover burlap. Wa-la!

I know that rustic is not everyone’s style, but I love it because it is imperfect and raw and “natural” feeling.  And it has a history – a story behind it.  I just put this old box I found on top of the old trunk at the foot of my bed and threw all my leftovers from the canvas project in it.  Weird?  Maybe. But I love it!

Let's stay connected!

I promise to send some encouragement your way, and a bit of hope for the soul...
