Fear not, my soul, for God is on your side
Rest in His presence, in His love abide
And when your heart feels troubled in Him hide
Fear not my soul for God is on your side.
Doubt not, my mind, for Jesus dwells within
When anxieties arise, set your thoughts on Him
For it’s at the end of you that His peace begins
Doubt not, my mind, for Jesus dwells within.
Oh, weary body, on God’s strength rely
Lean on Him when all has failed no matter how you try
Though you’re too weak for one more step, He can help you fly
Oh, weary body, on God’s strength rely.
Though all that is within me, is never quite enough
I’ll trust in Him who’s everything and in His endless love
He knows my thoughts, my ways, my life and knows that I am dust
Be still my soul, my mind, my body and just
Know….
Jana,
You continue to encourage and thrill us with your daily comments. Today’s poem was so helpful to us.
Today, in church, it was announced that one of our families, older daughter (child) has been diagnosed with leukemia and rushed to Children’s Hospital in Seattle. I hope to get this poem to them ASAP and to share with them two families in Emmanuel Bible Fellowship, who were formerly with us at Lacey Chapel, both had children with leukemia and now are perfecly healthy several years after winning that battle. Thank you for taking the time to write that poem. Lorna and I hope you have a GREAT rest and vacation but, AT DISNEY WORLD ALL DAY???? BEST OF LUCK.
We love you very much.
Mama and Papa J
Thank you so much, Papa! So thankful that the poem held meaning for you and that you were able to pass it on. It seems that every time God puts something on my heart to write there is someone who needed to hear those specific words. I know that when I write them, they are God’s message to me, personally, but that He doesn’t want me to just hang on to them, but to share the encouragement that He has offered me. Thanks so much for your precious words.
We never got to Florida. We were on standby and all the flights Saturday and yesterday were overbooked, so we just stayed in Denver two nights and just got home a little while ago. Kinda disappointing and anti-climactic, but at least we were in the company of good friends!
Love and hugs to you both!
xoxo
