It is twenty two below here today with the wind chill factor. Dang, that’s cold! Coming straight from a place where winter meant the temperatures would dip down occasionally into the sixties, I have had lots to learn.
First of all, just don’t go out in this kind of weather. School is closed and it is like a ghost town out there. I went to deliver some treats to the church staff for their meeting, but of course, no one was there. I shouldn’t have been out there at all, but I was feeling rather brave and adventurous and possibly a bit cocky. Let me say that when the roads are snowy and icy, it’s very hard to see the lines. Almost impossible. But being such a clever soul, I decided that I would follow the tire tracks. Makes sense, right? Until I looked up and realized that I wasn’t lined up with either the people in front of me or the people behind me. Or the upcoming light signal. Apparently, I was driving in the tire tracks of two different cars that had been in two separate lanes. Oh, there are so many analogies here, but I will spare you this time. I just chalked it up to another day in the life of Jana living outside of the normal lines…
Hope your day is a little warmer than mine….and that you go outside the lines just a little bit 🙂
