(I am always amazed at the people that God used in the Old and New Testament. Broken, messed up, imperfect, real people. That’s who He used to bring Himself glory. And in the process He changed them as well. That gives me such incredible hope that, if He chooses, He can also use me :-))
What have I to offer?
What have I to give?
Should You have asked another, this path to walk, this life to live?
A heart You found in pieces
Imperfect, broken, flawed
Could such a heart so marred and bruised reflect a perfect God?
This cluttered mind distracted
Random and untaught
Would You use this simple mind to share Your deepest thoughts?
Should You?
Could You?
Would You?
What have I to offer?
What have I to give?
Should You have asked another, this path to walk, this life to live?
A face now getting older
Time and age now leave their lines
Could You use this less than perfect face through which Your face to shine?
Skills that I’ve acquired
Whose sum don’t equal much
Would You use such measly skills to Your dear children touch?
Should You?
Could You?
Would You?
Yet who am I to ask such things, knowing who You are?
You create things out of nothing, You bring healing out of scars.
You turn water into wine and make the blind to see.
You feed a crowd with scraps of food, and set the captives free.
So why shouldn’t You
Why couldn’t You
Why wouldn’t You
Use me….
