24 hours after Britt’s wedding….last set of relatives just left for the airport….exhausted but oh, so happy. It was a glorious event! The service was beautiful and fun, outside in a park on a perfect Scottsdale day. The venue was great with wonderful food, beautiful, delicious cupcakes, and an incredible DJ that had games and contests throughout the evening that got everyone laughing and singing and dancing and involved. Awesome!!!! Britt and Brendan did a surprise dance that was absolutely hysterical and had everyone in stitches. Hoping that the video that someone took will end up on Youtube soon.
The photographer was great and I cannot wait to see the pictures (it will be our Christmas photo this year). She did a lot of creative and fun things that make picture taking less stressful. The entire wedding party looked gorgeous and my sweet little bride was absolutely breathtaking. Daddy and daughter cried all the way down the aisle which began the flood of Jarvis/Peabody tears.
Dads gave moving speeches, grandfathers gave meaningful prayers. The pastor who married them did an incredible job.
Friends and family came from all over the country. The wonderful home that we got to stay in with all of our extended family was more than we ever could have hoped for. Better than any resort and so warm and inviting with plenty of room and more for all of us. It gave us a place where the entire family could hang out and just enjoy each other’s company and reconnect and catch up. Good, good stuff!
When I am feeling a little more rested, I will post pics of some of this one-of-a-kind weekend. But the real photography will come from the professionals soon. Yippee!
We will get in around 11:00 pm tonight and fall into a very much needed bed. And tomorrow we will jump right back into reality – Mark getting on a plane, Abby heading back to work, and Blake going to school. And I will begin working on my next client’s home. Never a dull moment….:-)
But we were all just part of an amazing weekend that I know will only be matched by the next time one of my precious daughters walks down the aisle (and one day, my son 🙂 ).
Wish you coulda been here!!!!
