In honor of love and romance on this special weekend, I was reading in Song of Songs. It is a book overflowing with love and passion and romance. Declarations of adoration and desire. A picture of a man and his wife deeply, madly in love. A picture of Jesus and His love for us, God lovers, as his bride. A love so immense and intimate and personal and real. The greatest love story ever told and a love story that we can be part of every single day for the rest of our lives, until one day, when all the waiting is over, we will be in the arms of the One whom we’ve waited for. Longed for. Lived for. Face to face.
