Just coming off of a glorious weekend! It began with having our neighbors over for dinner on Friday night, Dean and Tracy. We knew right away that we were gonna hit it off big time, but the surprise for us was finding out that they are believers! Yay! So nice to know that we have another two people to partner with us in reaching out to our neighbors. And new friends that we can enjoy and do life with 🙂
Then yesterday I got to spend the day with Teresa and go to various Christmas Fairs and Craft Bazaars. They were disappointing in what they had to offer, but time with my friend is always precious and fun. It’s fun to live in a place where the cold is a telltale sign that we truly are moving into the holiday season. Makes you want to listen to Christmas music this early 🙂
Last night I got to sing with my friends on worship team. Great songs and awesome harmonies as we belted out our hearts to God! Up early this morning to continue with more of the same in leading worship in three services. Again, such a joy to blend and sing with people you love!!!! Wish I could do it every single day!!!!
On the way home, pulled over to meet a new neighbor moving into a house down the street….guess that means I need to make some more cookies this afternoon. Maybe there will be Christmas music in the background….
Everything wonderful that has happened this weekend has been simple and ordinary stuff. But it takes on the essence of miraculous when it involves connections with people and getting to know another soul a little better. In those moments, there is a beauty so profound if we just take the time to see it and soak in it for a bit. People – they are the very most important thing, and we get a chance to interact and impact them every day of our lives. Pretty amazing stuff…
And like every great weekend should end, this one will be capped off with a cozy, possibly coma-type, nap. Hope yours ends the same way 🙂
