“If you have any ENCOURAGEMENT from being united with Christ, if any COMFORT from his love, if any FELLOWSHIP with the Spirit, if any TENDERNESS and COMPASSION, then make my joy complete by being LIKE-MINDED, having the same LOVE, being ONE IN SPIRIT and PURPOSE. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus…” – Philippians 2:1-5
I had three different “appointments” with three different friends today. Blake laughs when I call my time together with friends appointments. But they are. They are divine appointments. When bathed in prayer before we get together, God does amazing prep work for a time of unbelievable fellowship and encouragement. That happened three times today.
There seemed to be an underlying theme for each of these wonderful women. Their passion for God and for other women. Women who are hurting and tired and overloaded. And they long to take what God has shown them through experiences, through other people, and through His word and share it with others to offer hope, encouragement and a chance to impact our community for Jesus. Each woman’s take on this was a little different, but similar in it’s goal to reach into the lives of women.
I am thrilled beyond words to be able to keep the company of such incredible girls. And I am thrilled to “be like-minded, having the same love and being one in spirit and purpose” with them. God is up to something good here in Parker, Colorado. I don’t know exactly what yet. But I know some women who are ready to be part of whatever it is….And I am so diggin’ it….:-)
