Today I was immersed in caramel, pumpkin, and dark chocolate. Three of my favorite flavors, but also three of my favorite paint colors! Blake (the contractor) and I painted for eight hours straight today and we are still not done. He said that he had never done three colors on a house in one day, and was dang proud of us! It is looking beautiful and I can’t wait ’til the painting is done so I can begin the decorating process. But the paint definitely is an awesome backdrop for everything else. So excited! And I remembered to take a before picture!!!!
Thanks to all of you who called, texted and checked in on me, both about the painting and about my test results. Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer yet as the doctor’s office has not received the results. I had a kidney ultrasound yesterday to see if it is the reason for my ridiculously high blood pressure and flank pain. Not worried at all….just want to figure out the answer and get it taken care of. Thanks for being such sweet friends – you bless my life every single day….you know I love you!!!!
Off to paint again tomorrow. Hopefully, I don’t wake up too sore….:-)
I just remembered that I have one of my Grandma Moody’s poems in my apt. Here it is:
HOLD THOU ME UP
by Mrs. R.M. Moody
“Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe.”
(Psaml 119:117)
The Lord is my Helper, what have I to fear,
When me He has promised to ever be near?
Although all the way I may not understand,
I still will be safe, for He holdeth my hand.
Just as a child holds his own father’s hand,
Goes on in the way it may not understand:
So may I trust thee, Lord, today and tomorrow,
And I shall be safe, in joy and sorrow.
In all things give thanks, rejoicing always,
For He will be with me through all of the days:
Hold thou me up, I can not go astray,
I shall be safe when thou choosest my way.
What time I am fearful, I’ll still trust in thee,
Who, from the beginning, the ending doth see:
Hold thou me up. Let my faith not be dim,
I shall be safe while trusting in Him.
