Last night the day was finished as beautifully as it began. We were invited to our realtor’s and his wife’s home. He made us an amazing, delectable dinner, followed by the best carrot cake I have maybe every tasted. It was a great time of catching up and getting a little deeper glimpse into the hearts of these two wonderful people. We had an absolute blast. A lovely, relaxing evening after a lovely, crazy day.
Today, we had “church in the park”. Roughly a thousand people gathered at the Parker city park, located right next to our church. We had our worship service on the grass (on chairs brought in), with the band playing in the gazebo. After the service there was a free bbq with wonderful brisket and all the trimmings. Table were set up throughout the park which allowed people to socialize and catch up while watching the Broncos game on two giant tvs that were set up. The gal that I met at the moms thing yesterday showed up with her two boys and I was able to introduce her to lots of the wonderful women that are impacting my life. One of Blake’s friends from school came with his parents, too and we had a wonderful visit. Kids were playing on the playground, teenagers were playing frisbee, toddlers were eating ice cream, and all the adults were just talking, laughing and eating way too much. It was wonderful!
Tomorrow is my next staging job. It is a big one and I am really excited. I have found many things that I know she is going to love and a can’t wait for the surprise factor!
I am a sleepy girl, but have a couple more projects to do before tomorrow. Wishing I could do them with my eyes closed on the couch… 🙂
