Yesterday afternoon I got a message from our Worship Pastor.  He was asking if I could fill in to sing this weekend.  Of course I said yes!  It would be a chance to meet a whole new team of people than I sang with last week.  When I got to rehearsal last night, I was once again embraced and welcomed and loved by these people.  People who were strangers 24 hours ago, but who now are my new brothers and sisters in Christ and my friends.  It felt like a family reunion!

It was a night of sweet fellowship and yummy harmonies.  And guess what???? I was asked to sing a solo!  Crazy!  I am slightly terrified, so pray for me this weekend if you think of it.  I love how Ralph (The Worship Pastor) fully asked me to do it, to stretch beyond my comfort zone, and to throw it all out there.  He was so encouraging.  So I did.  And it felt pretty dang good! I love that we can keep growing in every aspect of our lives, even at the age of 46! (Grandma – you are still growing and trying and learning new things at 91! – thanks for your awesome example to all of us!)

Thankful for new friends, new experiences and new grace and mercy every day.  For new strength, new wisdom and new understanding that can only come with God’s very active presence and very clear voice.  Thankful that we are only given ONE DAY at a time and that God provides everything we need for that one day!!!!  Thankful that we can trust Him in every minute of every one of those days, no matter what they look like.

In the grand scheme of things and knowing that everything we do is only for God’s glory, it doesn’t really matter how I do singing wise this weekend.  But I really would prefer to not make a complete fool out of myself, so please put in a good word for me with Jesus, if you would 🙂

Go into this day with me knowing that you are loved beyond measure by me and by a God who knows you inside out.  A God who is the Great Provider for everything you need to live the abundant life that He offers. We walk this path of life together in the good, the bad and the ugly.  And we learn.  And we grow.  And we truly live….

Hugs and more hugs…

Let's stay connected!

I promise to send some encouragement your way, and a bit of hope for the soul...
