Sometimes my skin just crawls
With the restlessness I feel
A hunger and a longing
For something much more real
A Place where I can see You
Without this misty cloud
A time when I can touch You
And sing Your praises loud….
And sometimes I get a glimpse
Of my true reality
Where everything You are
Is right in front of me
And this aching in my heart
Is turned from pain to praise
A simple glimpse of You is all I need
To get me to that beautiful One Day.
The pain that comes with knowing
I’m not where I belong
My true home is still waiting
I’ve been homesick for so long
But You put me here to love You
And bring others home with me
So when we finally get there
Your welcome arms we’ll see…
And sometimes I get a glimpse
Of my true reality
Where everything You are
Is right in front of me
And this aching in my heart
Is turned from pain to praise
A simple glimpse of You is all I need
To get me to that beautiful One Day.
This life is but a breath
And so I’ll deeply breathe
But I can’t help but dream about
My One Day reality…
