Well, today was a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Mark took me to get a new phone. Mine was literally falling apart. So I got this really cool red phone with a design on it. And guess what else? I got my first blue tooth!!!! My new TOYS!!!! I am going to try and take the time to actually read the instructions so that I can not just own them, but also use them 🙂 Thank you for your kind welcome as I enter the 21st century….
So the afternoon started with toys and it ended with games. Brendan, Brittany, Blake and I all sat down to play Bananagrams. If you haven’t tried it yet, I would definitely recommend it. It’s a more fun and faster moving version of Scrabble. I almost won, too, if I hadn’t made a slight mistake of failing to pick up one of my tiles. Dang it! It’s really fun though, and I’m a pretty good loser…probably from years of practice.
Met a dog named Colleen at the park today where all the dogs gather to play in this community. Who names a dog Colleen? Isn’t that hilarious? Anyway, Jessie was thrilled to have someone to chase and sniff and wrestle with.
I think I am learning how to rest during this time here. And it’s feeling really, really good. Yay for toys and games and dogs named Colleen…
