(This song came to me in the middle of the night last night. Some of it is still sketchy in my memory, but this is what I’ve recalled so far. For those of us who need a daddy hug from God because life has gotten too tiring, or confusing, or difficult, or overwhelming. Jesus calls us to rest in Him. See Matthew 11;28-29. He reminded me in the middle of the night. Hope it’s a comfort to you, too.)
Come to me and let me hold you close
I love you, I love you
Rest in the arms of One who knows you most
And loves you, still loves you
Be still and know….my love
You’re weary from the load that you bear
But I love you, I love you
Put your head against my chest and leave it there
Let me love you, just love you
Be still and know….my love
You’ve got nothing left, your strength is gone
You’ve lost your desperate grip, you can’t hold on….
So let me hold you, let me rock you in my arms
Til the beat you feel within you is the rhythm of my heart…
I love you, how I love you…
Quiet now, it’s time to rest
I love you, I love you
You’re in the arms of Him who loves you best
I love you, so love you …
Be still and know…
Be still and know…
Be still and know….my love
