Goodbye sweet chocolate
It’s time to go
Away with the Christmas tree
And the mistletoe
You made my life sweeter
You made my lips smile
But it’s time you were gone
For just a little while
You make a grand appearance
This time of year
You show up at each party
To bring Christmas cheer
I’d love you around
Twenty four seven
Cuz you always give my mouth
A little bite of heaven
But here is the problem –
You don’t stay at my lips
You travel down south
And land on my hips
You know I love you
I don’t want to be mean
But I really like fitting
In my skinny jeans
So this is goodbye
It’s been really yummy
But if I don’t stop
You’ll increase my tummy
Farewell sweet friend
Parting’s such sweet sorrow.
(But don’t worry –
I’m sure I’ll see you tomorrow!)
Hi Jana – and Mark too! Mom and I enjoyed your blog about Christmas Eve. We felt like we were right there and worshipped God in His goodness with you. This will probably be the last Christmas you will all be together for some time. You will treasure it for years unending. I loved the poem on chocolate – Guess what? I’m using it next Sunday when I preach out at Westport Coastal Communioty Church. I think I already mentioned the use of two of your poems on pain which is the subject of my message,
“Progressing Through Pain.” Thanks for the card about the coming portraits. We’re looking forward to it.
Hope your new year, with its challenges and adjustments, is one of real encouragement and strong awareness of our Lord’s presence in your lives. There will be more miracles in your behalf – just wait! Will call Blake tomorrow and Mark on Tuesday. We love you so very much.
Nama and Papa J.
Thank you, Papa. God is so very good. It was an incredible Christmas. Glad you are able to use some of my poems. Thank you. That is the best compliment you could ever give me. Love you so much and will get that picture to you ASAP!!! Hugs, Jana
Strange this submit is totaly unrelated to what I used to be looking google for, but it was once indexed on the first page. I suppose your doing something right if Google likes you sufficient to position you on the first page of a non related search.
I like the theme on your blog, I run a blog as well, and I would love to use this theme. Is it a free style, or is it custom?
It’s a free style – grunge something….
