Janay came over for the day yesterday.  Unfortunately, I was at work.  Our third and separate garage is filled with stuff that we are storing for someone else.  So I couldn’t get to all my Christmas decorations, or our huge tree.  (Side note:  I know all my NW friends are cringing right now at the thought of a “fake” tree.  I’m right there with you…) I had managed yesterday morning before I left, to pull out a few decorations and felt pretty triumphant.  But while I was gone, Janay went in and wrested the ugly beast that was our garage, and conquered the mountain of stored furniture and other’s belongings and retreived the huge nine foot tree, piece by piece.  She set it up, decorated it and had it all lit and ready to go.  So when I came home and walked through the garage door, the first thing I saw was this beautiful ( albeit, fake) Christmas tree.  MMMMMMMM!  It warmed my heart and made me so thankful for my girl who pushed past the difficulty of the situation and put together her mama’s tree just because she loves me.  And maybe because she is very sentimental about family holidays and traditions.  Thanks, sweet girl.  I love you so very much and that truly meant the world to me.  🙂  And now it feels just a little more like Christmas here in the desert …

Let's stay connected!

I promise to send some encouragement your way, and a bit of hope for the soul...

xo, jana
