Again, I have the best friends in the world, hands down!!! Thanks for all the texts, emails, facebook entries, phone calls. You guys rock! I slept pretty well last night for being hooked up to iv’s and monitors. Woke up with a headache on the right side. Will see the neurologist at some point today and do more tests. I am ravenously hungry. 🙂 Lukewarm broth just doesn’t quite cut it…
Thanks for all your love and prayers. I’m sure it is going to be something simple, like a migraine type thing. Still, I’m trying to tell myself that it was worth coming in just to be careful, even though it is not the best time to rack up medical bills. Ugh!
Here’s a tip for next time you make a trip to the ER…
1. Always assume you will be admitted
2. Always bring a good book
3. Always bring yummy snacks
4. Always bring a baseball cap
5. Always bring your favorite blankie
6. Always bring something to do with your hands
I, of course, wasn’t thinking clearly at the time and remembered none of this. So my sweet husband will bring me some of these things this morning.
Kinda hoping my neurologist is ugly…I look like absolute crap this morning!
Jana! You are an amazing person, bar none. No wonder Mark fell in love with you – you are the love of his life. Just wanted to tell you that at our Seniors meeting at church last night, we shared the whole situation re: Mark’s job plus your “incident.” I only wish you could have heard our group praying for you guys. It brought tears to Lorna’s and my eyes. God has really brought us together as a good support group this season. There’s lots of sharing and prayer. You should hear their stories, yet they have learned to put them on the back burner and focus on the needs of others. I was reading Psalm 42 this morning -GREAT STUFF! Verse 5 is “right on.” We will keep reading your blog since you are going there to communicate.
We love you and Mark and your Tribe.
Dad J.
i am so not amazing. Actually, I am sitting on my bed right now sobbing being “not so amazing”. Your precious words only magnified the tears of gratitude for God’s provision in our amazing family and friends. You guys are so very precious to me. Please pray for peace in the unknown…my least favorite place to be, but the place where God always seems to bring me to hold me closest. Love you so very much. Thanks for your sweet words. They mean more to me than you will ever know….
Hugs,
Jana
Jana,
Please remember, he never gives us more than we can handle.
Fortunately, or Unfortunately for you, depending where one is in our eternal progression, (although I know you will vehemently deny it), your
“Super Woman”.
So you get to handle a lot that us mere mortals wouldn’t be able to.
Your Faith makes you stronger than us Wanna-Bees.
This day too shall pass. And you’ll be all the more stronger. And your words of grace and humility will make those around you stronger.
I know they have for me.
Please get better soon. We need you. The world needs you.
P.S.
Clean undergarments are always another good thing to remember when visiting the E.R. 🙂
Thanks, Jeff. I know that everything we go through first goes through the sieve of God’s loving hands. The rough stuff only exfoliates the impurities on us to reveal a smoother, more beautiful piece of art.
God is really, really good. And I’m excited to see what He is going to do next!
