Jesus,
Could you please hug my soul tonight?
I can feel it aching in my throat.
Deep longings that wear away at it’s strength.
The gammet of emotions taking their toll.
Can you hold it for just a little while?
Caress the bumps and bruises it has accrued along the way.
Massage out the kinks of pain and the cramping of sorrow.
Soothe the anxious tremors that cause it’s angst.
You created and loved and saved my soul.
And now it needs the touch of it’s creator.
So, Jesus, could you hug my soul tonight?
