Okay, this is a first in my personal history. I won at Bunco tonight! Does it matter that is a mindless game that requires no skill and is all based on the luck of the roll? Does it matter that there is no strategy to conquer or that my winnings only equaled twenty bucks? Absolutely not! I won! I never win anything and I won!
Another first in my history – I made a red velvet cake for Janay. It was beautiful and delicious. And I know what you’re thinking…how did I know it was delicious if I am gluten free? Ah yes! I took a tiny little bite and already I am paying the price. Ugh! But now if you ever want a red velvet cake, I can honestly tell you that I make a mean one 🙂
I also bought Janay a bike for her birthday today. A cruiser. So cute! And I got to try it out. So fun! I have to get one myself. There is just something about riding a bike. I will not be like the typical bicyclist down here. I will not be on a $3,000 bike in my spandex. I will not be travelling with my “bike club”. I will not ride hundreds of miles a week in an attempt to break records. Nope. I will ride because it’s fun and it feels good. I will be on my little cruiser, laughing and singing and talking out loud because I will be having so much fun. And I will look riduculous. But I won’t care, because dang it, we should do more silly looking things and enjoy the simplest of pleasures. If everyone could get their silly out more often, there would be more smiles and less headaches. More fun and less stress. C’mon…let’s go!
And one more random thought for the night. My grandma is turning 90 in a couple of weeks and I am going to see and surprise her. Yay! But get this…she has been singing lately at the place she lives in and now has a gentleman friend who sings with her who is 98! Isn’t that awesome? So I will get to hear them do their thing! Really hoping to get some footage. I think it could just possibly be the cutest thing ever!!!!
Well, time to go and stash my big cash winnings away and call it a day. Hope yours was a good one!
